Beazley-Chapman

A wedding of widespread interest was celebrated at the Umawera church on March 1, between Dorothy Elfreda. elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Chapman, Umawera, and David Henry, eldest son of Mr, and Mrs. M. Beazley, Motukaraka.

The bride, who was given away by he rfather. wore a beautiful anklelength gown of ivory satin with shirred sleeves, and a pearl coronet head dress with a full length silk tulle veil edged with satin. Her bouquet was formed of white asters and asparagus fern.

Attending the bride were her sister, ,Miss Francis Chapman, and Miss Doris Bcazley, sister of the bridegroom. Their charming frocks were of rose pink taffeta with elbow-length mittens. They wore coronets of pink roses and short pink tulle veils with bouquets of pink roses and fern.

Mr. Norman Ogle, cousin of the groom, as best man, and Mr. Ron Chapman, brother of the bride, *as groomsman, supported the bridegroom.

The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Cable, of Kohukohu. A reception was later held in the Umawera Hall, the guests being received by the bride’s mother, who appeared in a smart brown ensemble.
