Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Kaitaia Football Club this week were: Patron, Mr G. Foster; president, Mr L. Hall; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. Johnson, A. Logan and W. Marsh; secretary, Mr A. W. Logan; treasurer, Mr W. Bruce; club captain, Mr W. Flinn;, committee,' Messrs. M. Whitefield, H. Watkins, L. Sloane, M. Costello, E. Jameson, T. Flinn and I. Wright; coaches, Messrs. Vallance and E. Clark; te'am managers, Messrs. L. Hall (Senior A), M. Yates (Senior B), A. MacKenzie (Junior A), and A. W. Masters (Junior B); delegates to Mangonui Rugby Union, Messrs. A. W. Masters, J. Cowie and H. Wilkinson; hon. solicitors, Messrs. Logan and Reynolds; gatekeeper, Mr J. T.' Williams.
It is claimed in Tokio that violations of the Manchukuo border by the Russians are increasing. There were 166 violations last year, and more than 40 in the first two months of this year.
