Final Gallops for Paeroa Entrants

The final gallops of Ellerslie horses engaged at Faeroa took place on No. 1 grass track and the tan, and the going on the former was hard and fast.
Silver Quex ran seven furlongs in 1.35, doing it nicely. First Gold Money completed a similar distance in 1.40 2-5, the last half-mile taking 55 3-5 seconds. Ohmaha gave. Psychologist a couple of lengths start at the four-furlong post, and ran away from him, coming home in 49 seconds. It was a smart effort. Loyal Grant, Imperator, Wild Acre and Bide-a-Wee finished in that order over four furlongs in 50 seconds. Norse Lady finished three furlongs in 37 2-5 seconds.
Mintlaw could have improved on 49 3-5 seconds for half a mile.
Tea Gong was sent a round, but was not doing better than 15 seconds to the furlong. Stonehaven ran three furlongs in 40 3-5 seconds, on the tan.
Trevace and Aero Queen were on terms at the finish of six furlongs in 1.27 2-5.
Fleetwind traversed half a mile in 52 seconds, while Electric Spear was given an easy round. Royal Abb led Glen Abb over six furlongs, in 1,21 1-5. the first three taking 39 seconds. Tybalt covered six furlongs in 1.22 3-5, while All Irish came home over the last three furlongs of a round in 43 1-5 seconds.
Knight of Australia jumped two pony hurdles slowly, \Vhile Mai do Mer went well over four hurdles.
Scott Abbey gave a good display over four steeplechase fences on the flat.
