Kaikohe Meets Mairtown

A team from the Kaikohe Tennis Club paid their annual visit to the Mairtown Club, Whangarei, during the week-end. The majority of the games between the two clubs were Keenly contested, and resulted in a win for Mairtown by 31 sets, 367 games to 16 sets and 319 games. Speaking during the day, Mr Moor, vice-president of the Kaikohe Club, thanked the Mairtown Club for their hospitality and expressed pleasure in renewing old friendships. Mr A. D. King, president of the Mairtown Club, responded for his club.
