Royalist Plot in Siam
(Received 11 a.m.) BANGKOK, January 30. An official broadcast revealed the discovery of a plot aimed at the restoration of Prince Sukhodaya, who was King Prajadhipok of Siam until his abdication in 1935 —by a number of army officers who were retired without gratuity or pension. One suspect committed suicide while under escort to Bangkok. A retired officer was shot de.ad while evading arrest. The country is quiet.
