The second day of the mid-summer meeting of the Auckland Racing Club was held to-day, in wet weather, the attendance being poor. The track was heavy. Results:—
Moana Handicap, of 250 sovs.; six furlongs.—-(3) Bronwen, .8,7, 1; (7) Royal Message, 7.12, 2; (14) Beeswing, 7.12, 8. Scr.: Elise, Length and a-half; a length. Time: 1.17 2-5.
Waiwera Hurdles, of SOOsovs,, two miles.—(4) Pyrenees. 9.2, I; (2) Rozel, 9.13, 2; (1) Br-yce Street, 9.13, 3. Scratched: Tail Light, Celtic Lad, Mia Acr6a. Three lengths each way. Time, 3.57 2-5. Hopalong, Tutor and Baldric fell.
Suburban Handicap, of 300 sovs.; six furlongs.—(3) High Delight, 8.2, 1; (7) Romani, 8.0, 2; (1) Maxam, 9.4, 3. Scr.: Coraio, Veritable. Two lengths each way. Time: 1.16 3-5.
Ralph Handicap, of 65050v5., one and a-quarter miles.—(s) Cheval de Volee, 7.12, 1; (3) Gay Rose, 7.0, 2; (11) Sergia, 7.0, 3. Scratched: Star Artist, Ivy Willonyx, Dark Shadow, Hot Box, Respectful. A neck;; two lengths. Time, 2.12 3-5.
