t Per Preyg Association. Copyright .l AUCKLAND, This Day. The Auckland Gas Company earned a net profit,of £61,607 for the year ended December 31, compared with £67,522 in 1937, and £67,734 in 1936. The dividend will be per cent, for the year, compared with 5i per cent, for recent years. The annual report states the income tax for 1937 was £40,575 and anticipated tax for 1938, £37,888. Against these tax items is a special reserve of £75,000, including £SOOO added this year.
