Britain Invincible, Says Sir Samuel Hoare
(Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 26. “When I say this great country and Empire can never be defeated I am stating a fact,” declared Sir Samuel Hoare, Home Secretary, at Swansea. He added that Britain’s preparations on land, sea and in the air are formidable, and her financial and economic system was the most stable in the world. “Let those who say we have grown weary and feeble ponder over that,” he added.
