Fine 'and warm. Variable, arid moderate * breezes, north-easterlies prevailing and increasing. Seas rising on the east coqgt. An extensive disturbance is moving on to the Dominion, and heavy general rains are indicated early next week.
A monthly forecast for the ensuing month will be supplied by Mr Vincent at the end of each month.
General Outlook and Summary
Westerly depressions have dominated the weather situation throughout the* month, and while many of these storms have been exceptionally intense, the centres of the depressions have passed too far south to bring an appreciable fall of rain to Northl'and. , The storm mentioned in today’s forecast is the first disturbance since Christmas Day that gives indications of bringing about a general rainfall. .
Tropical activity is beginning to dominate the situation, land heavy general rains are expected at the end of the month. The outlook for February indicates a very hot month, but there will be several easterly storms, with occasional heavy rain storms.
