Sentences Reduced On Palestine Police

(Received 2 p.m.) JERUSALEM, January 27. The court reduced to eight months imprisonment, the sentence passed on William Wood, one of four British plain clothes constables at Jaffa, charged with unjustifiably killing an Arab, who was alleged to have been shot when attempting to escape from prison. Wood was originally sentenced to three years’ gaol. The sentences passed on P. Crossley and J. Crossley have been quashed, while earlier this week it was reported that the sentence on the fourth constable, J. Mansell, was also quashed.
