The position of the candidates in the Kororareka Queen Carnival remains unchanged. The Sports Queen, Miss June Baker, heads the total of 11,628 votes with 5000. The R.S.A. candidate, Miss Rona Williams, is second with 4144, and the Maori candidate, Miss Oriwa Hataraka, Paihia, is third with 2484 votes,
