First Aid Outfits For Taxis
That all carriers and taxi-drivers should be equipped with first-aid outfits was a suggestion made by Mr E. J. Phelan at the No. 1 transport Licensing Authority in Whangarei today. ■ “If this is done, it may be the means of saving life,” he said. “A small outfit costs very little, and I think it would he worth while if carriers’ associations and taxi companies provided them. “Not only would the first-aid outfits be useful in the event of accident to the trucks or cars carrying them, but they might also prove valuable in assisting other accident vicitims met on the road.”
Mr L. A. Johnson explained that the St. John Ambulance had erected firstaid equipment boxes at different parts of routes in the district.
