Good Fishing From Ninety Mile Beach
Good fishing was experienced at the Bluff on the Ninety Mile Beach over the week-end, when a party of holidaymakers, camping on the A. A grounds, and several local men set nets. Each haul produced a mixed net of flounder, solo and snapper, some 300 fish being taken in all. Visitors Surprised. The visitors, who had travelled from the King - Counry, . expressed surprise that such good fishing could be obtained on the beach and were very impressed with the manner in which the nets were handled in the heavy swell. After spending three weeks in the North, they considered that in no other part of New Zealand could such an experience be had/ and plans are being made for their return to spend a fishing holiday' at Ninety Mile Beach.
