Withdrawal of Jews Would Mean Hungarian Crisis
BUDAPEST, January 25.
The former Prime Minister of Hungary, Count ' Stefan von Bethlen, warned a parliamentary committee in Budapest dealing with anti-Jewish legislation that Hungarian Jews were given no choice but to realise their fortunes and emigrate, yet as soon as the Jews started to leave the county all values from real estate to industrial enterprises would fall to zero. In the event of the sudden withdrawal of Jewish capital a very grave crisis would develop, said Count von Bethlen.
There were Jewish, experts in Hungarian industry who were irreplacable.
