Prices For Fats At Stortford Lodge [Per Press Association. Copyright. ] HASTINGS, This Day.
Approximately 200 head of cattle came forward at the Stortford Lodge sale yesterday. Bullocks ranged from £lO to £l2 13/; cows and heifers, £9 5/ to £9 15/.
Prime ewes ranged from 9/6 to 11/; two-tooth ewes, 17/4 to 18/ for tops; medium to poor, 14/7; wethers, prime order <and fresh , two-tooth, 17/8 to 19/3; heavy prime lambs, 21/1 to 25/9; medium, 18/ to 20/2; light and poor 1 , 14/ to 17/8.
Store sheep met an easier market for lambs. Two-tooth ewes ranged from 21/6 to 21/8; five-year ewes, 10/4 to 12/; two-tooth wethers, 17/7 to 16/8 for best, and 14/8 upwards for medium types: four-tooth, to 18/; ewe lambs, to 16/3.
