Satirical Play Not Appreciated In Montreal
(Received 2.30 p.m.) MONTREAL. January 25. After 50 policemen had quelled a demonstration f against the American stage play “Pins and Needles,” the civic censors ordered the deletion of scenes satirically depicting Mr Charm berlain, Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini at Munich. The provincial Government warned the producers that the play may be banned entirely should it cause further demonstrations.
