Australia “Half Fascist,” Says Wells
(Received 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Mr H. G. Wells, in his last public address before leaving Australia, attacked the censorship, which, he said, was imposed by the Federal Government on speech and literature in Australia. Until the present methods of censorship were swept out of existence, Australia could regard herself as being “half-Fascist.” said Mr Wells.
