Empire Democracies Must Make Sacrifices

(Received 2 p.m.) CALGARY, January 13. At a farewell gathering prior to his departure for England, Mr. R. B. Bennett, former Premier of Canada, declared that only adjustments of organisation and development of the resources within the Empire, could solve the problem of Canada and other peoples within the Empire. If democracy was to bo made as efficient as the dictatorships, it must make sacrifices and discipline itself to that end.
