Workers Give Ultimatum to Federal Court
(Received 11 a.m.) ’ SYDNEY, This Day. The dispute with the waterside workers at Port Kembla has taken a more serious turn following a conference of union officials. The conference decided to issue an ultimatum to the Federal Government that unless .an early settlement is reached they will extend the strike to the Broken Hill Proprietary’s Port Kembla steel works, and the same company’s Newcastle workshops, . They will also endeavour to involve the waterside workers at all Australian ports. ,
