Sir Harry Twyford, who is expected shortly in New Zealand on a three weeks’ ‘fishing holiday, was Lord Mayor of London for the 1937-38 period. He was born in. 1870, and in 1890 married the daughter of an Australian, Richard Honey. He was educated privately and became an aiderman of the City of London in 1930. Sir Harry is a keen fisherman. He will arrive on the Rangatira, which leaves England on February 2, and after his stay in New Zealand, will proceed to Australia.
