His works include the Whitehall Cenotaph, London; picture gallery and South African War Memorial, Johannesburg; head offices of the Anglo-Persian Oil Company; new British Embassy, Washington; and many other notable buildings. He is also one of the principal architects for the Imperial War Graves Commission.
