ENGLAND’S ICY CHRISTMAS.—Icy snow showers, accompanied by a biting wind, covered the roads of England with a mantle of white, many roads being impassable to motor traffic. Heavy snowdrifts near Westerham, in Kent, gave the countryside a picturesque appearance. The snow remained on the ground over Christmas.
