Rainfall Figures For Kohukohu
The rainfall registered in Kohukohu for December was 4.89 inches, as against 4.33 inches for December, 1937. In December, 1938, rain fell on 17 days, the maximum fall being on December 2, when 75 points were registered. Rain fell on nine days in December, 1937, the heaviest being 1.4 inches on December 11. The total rainfall for 1938 was 59.62 inches, compared with 53.52 inches f.,r 1937. The driest month for 1938 was March when 26 points fell on eight days. For 1937 the driest month was October when only 19 points were recorded for eight days. Last July Wettest Month. Since 1931 the wettest year for this area was 1935 with 73.75 inches, the driest being 1932 with only 36.82 inches. The driest month in th.e eight years was March, 1931, with 18 points and the wettest was July, 1938, with 12.52 inches. The New Year has come in with prospects of dry weather. There has been no rain on the first six days and the temperature is steady at 82 degrees. The maximum, temperatui’e in 1938 was 102 degrees which was recorded on two days in March.
