The death has occurred, at the age of 92, of Mr Arthur Thomas Bothamley, 1.5.0., who was for 45 years an outstanding fiure in the Parliamentary life of New Zealand, having been Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod from 1892 to 1937. Mr Bothamley was born at Champion Hills, Surrey, England.
Private advice has been received of the death, in London, on Thursday, after a brief illness, of Lady Herdman, wife of Sir Alexander Herdman, formerly a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. Lady Herdman was married to Sir Alexander in 1921, and is survived by a son and a daughter of a former marriage.
