Park Developments Please School Chairman
Gratification that the development of Hora Horn Park had been commenced by the Whangarei Borough Council was expressed by the chairman of the Hora Hora School Committee, Mr B. R'. Miller, on Thursday. He w.as speaking at the annual parents’ day which marked the close of the school year. The school had been given the use of the park as a playing area,, but. during the past year, the ground had been so rough that it was impossible to take advantage of it, said Mr Miller.
He could now look forward to the time when the area would be properly developed with playing fields, .and also swings and paddling pools for the children, making the park one of the finest of its type in Northland.
