JOHANNESBURG, December 17. Batting first in a cricket match against the Marylebone touring team, Transvaal made 428 for eight wickets declared (Viljoen 97. Langton 58, Mitchell 133. Briscoe 42). Fames took four wickets for 93 runs, and Wilkinson four for 78. } Marylebone. in its first innings, made 238 for six wickets (Ames 104 not out*. Hutton was struck on the head by one of Davies’ fast deliveries, and was rendered unconscious. Ho was taken to hospital suffering from slight conj cussion.
