NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day.

An allegation that he picked up a roll of notes worth £173 from the floor of the waterside workers’ hall at New Plymouth were made against William Henry Moseley, aged 30, married, a waterside worker, when he was charged with theft in the Police Court yesterday. The evidence not being completed last night, Moseley was admitted to bail in his own recognisance of £IOO to appear again on Friday. Waterside workers who had not received a call assembled in the hall at the port on the morning of Saturday, October 1, and and, acording to witnesses, some of them played a game known as “spinning the top.” One of those who took part, it was stated, dropped the notes. Two of those present said that they saw Moseley pick them up and put them in his pocket.
