“I’m A New Member"
R.M.D. 111, Kaitaia. Dear Kupe and Princess Raranga, Seeing that I have been joined up with the otner members of tne Young Northiander, and have won an Honours Certificate, 1 think it’s about time ".I wrote and told who I am, First 01 all, I am the middle child of a family of five, having two brothers older and two sisters younger than myself, i was 13 years old on the 28th of last April and left school last November.
I live on a dairy farm of 100 acres, and help to milk the 18 cows morning and nignt. My main interests are picture-going, reading books, and writing and receiving letters. I have been a reader of “The Young Northlander” page for some time and am glad I have joined up. Later on I’ll invest in a badge (when I get some spare cash).
My father takes my two sisters and seven other children to school and home in his bus. We live 16 miles from Kaitaia and often go in to do some shopping. I am sending in a catch which 1 hope will be suitable for the pages, We often go to the pictures on a Saturday night. »Some I have enjoyed are “The Little Colonel,” “West Point of the Air/’ “Bohemian Girl,” “Queen of Hearts,” “Show Boat” and “San Francisco.”
I will close now, , Lots of luck from IRMA WEBBER.
