Carter, Kokopu, when there was a large attendance of buyers, and under keen bidding there was a total clearance. The cows came forward in fair condition and although the majority were in milk this did not affect the keenness of the bidding. Best dairy cows, springing, made from £8 10/- to £9 10/-; cows in milk, £6 7/6 to £8 5/-; Shorthorn heifers, springing, £6 2/6 to £6 7/6; herd bulls, £4 7/6 to £5 15/-; aged geldings, £26 and £3O.
