Tangowahine Pig Sale
Walter Wakelin reports a very successful pig sale at Tangcwahine yesterday. The entry consisted of 250 stores and weaners, which sold readily to a full bench of buyers. Quotations: Porkers, £2/8/ to £2/13/; large stores. £2 to £2/8/6; medium stores, £l/10/ to £2; slips, £1 to £l/11/; weaners, 18/ to £l/6/; breeding sews, £4/5/ to £5/7/6; sows with litters, £4 to £5/10/; three sows with 26 young realised £2O the lot.'
