CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Grand National meeting was continued today in fine weather. There was a large attendance. Results:— Hunt, Cup. of 300 sovs.: about 2i miles. —(2-1) Gold Wren, 9.12, 1; (1-2) Nightbound, 10.12, 2; (7-7) Tom Cat, 3.0, 3. Scr.; Snowy Dawn. Half a length; six lengths. Time: 5.26 4-5. Sumner Handicap, of 300 sovs.; nine furlongs.—(l-1) Tidewaiter, 8.10, 1; (11-11) Glenacre, 8.2, 2; (12-12) Gold Boy, 8.4, 3. All started. Three lengths: a neck. Time: 2.2 3-5.
Beaufort Steeplechase, of 600 sovs.; about 2i miles.— (2-2) Valpeen, 11.0, 1; (3-5) Sunward, 9.7, 2-\ (6-6) Forest Glow, 9.12, 3. All started. A length; 12 lengths. Time; 5.24.
Woolston Handicap, of 300 sovs; seven furlongs.—(l-1) Second Innings, 9.4, 1; (2-2). Half and Half, 8.4, 2; (3-3) Thermidor, 8.0, 3. All started. Won by a head; two lengths. Time, 1.34 1-5.
Grand National Hurdles, of 1025 sovs;' about 2k miles.—Padishah, 10.5, 1; Fireguard, 9.11, 2: Clarion Call, 11.13, 3 Scratched: The Surgeon, Corban, Brigadore, Monastic.
