Hokianga Harbour Finances

At the August meeting of the Hokianga Harbour Board held at Rawene on Tuesday the chairman, Mr A. C. Yarborough, expressed satisfaction at the healthy state of I lie board's finances as disclosed in the statement presented by the treasurer, Mr H. Chappell. Tne statement showed a credit balance carried forward from October 1 of £736 4s sd. Receipts, amounting to £1761 less expenditure of £1333 15s 4d. brought the credit balance on August 5 last to £1163 9s lOd.

Mr Chappell recommended that as the current account was substantially in credit, a further sum of £SOO be placed on fixed deposit at the end of August. The board decided in favour of Mr Chappell's recommendation.
