Presentation to Mr and Mrs Beachman

A very pleasant function was held at the office of the North Auckland Lands Department, Whangaroi, on July 22 jointly by the officers of that’ department and the State Advances Corporation, the occasion being the transfer and well-deserved promotion of Mr Strath Beachman to the Kaltaia office as senior fields inspector. Mr Beachman lias been associated ! with the Lands Department, Whanga- ■ rei, for the last five vears. also with | the Slate Advances Corporation for a j short period, and during both periods j showed marked ability in the carrying j out of his numerous and onerous | duties. All present from both departi ments testified to the high esteem in ! which Mr and Mrs Beachman wove j hold, were all sorry they were leaving, and expressed best wishes for a happy j and successful career in their new dis- i j trict. j At the conclusion of the function Mr ,J, D, Stcedman, formerly senior field inspector mow retired >, who had been happily associated with Mr Beachman at the Lands Department for the past five years, presented Miami Mrs Beachman with a handsome electro-plate entree dish nr. a slight token and appreciation of the good fellowship that existed between them and the various officers present, Mr Beachman suitably replied and thanked those present for their handsome gift and kind expressions and goodwill extended to both Mrs Beach- J man and himself.
