Splendid Rains In N.S.W.
SYDNEY, July 29. Splendid rain fell throughout Now Soutli Wales early this week, assuring a bountiful wheal harvest and good pastures, but the metropolitan area and a large part of the coast entirely missed it. The rain, which has now set in, drenching the whole coast line, shows signs of continuing during the weekend. The cities’ dwindling water supply, which recently has been causing the Water Board much concern, necessitating restrictions owing to the rainfall being under average, seems likely to be considerably replenished, as reports from the catchment area et present are most favourable.
