Miss Ruby McLean has returned to her home at Waipu after spending a holiday in Auckland. & * »y Many residents of Whangarei wilt regret to hear of the impending departure of Sister McDonald, and efforts are being made to see she does not leave without some suitable acknowledgment from her many friends. A movement is afoot to af- 1 ford them the opportunity of saying farewell to Sister McDonald, and of her friends who wish to be associated with the movement are asked to get in touch with Mrs Peter Butler, ’phone 2515.
On a recent Friday evening the young Bible Class friends of Miss Dorothy Parkes organised a happy surprise party at her home to bid her bon voyage before she left on July 25 by the Niagara to attend the Tenth World Convention of the Christian Endfeavour movement in Melbourne. Miss Parkes will also be visiting friends in Sydney and expects to be absent for some weeks.
