Walter Wakelin reports holding a very successful clearing sale on account of Mr M. Griffin, Titoki, yesterday. Although the cattle wore in only fair condition and without calving dates the herd sold remarkably well. A total clearance resulted, including young stock, pigs, horses, milking plant, separator, engine, dead stock, etc. Good quality Jersey and Jersey-cross cows showing well forward made from £6 10/- to £9; good quality backward cows, £4 10/- to £6; unsound and inferior cows, £1 10/- to £3 15/-; Shorthorn bull, £5 15/-; three-year-old colt, £l7; light farm m.are, £lß,’ breeding sows, £2 19/- to £4 19/-; small yearling heifers, £1 15/-; small yearling Jersey cross steers, £1 18-month coloured steers, £3.
