Miss Evelyn Chapman, of Matamata, and formerly of this district, is the guest of Mrs A. S. MacPherson, Mangatoitoi. Mr and Mrs R. D. Lupton spent last week-end at Ahipara. Messrs Gordon Hoskin and Walter Coulter have returned from a motor trip south, as far as Palmerston North. Mr and Mrs J. M. Dawson and their daughter, Olive, were recent visitors to Auckland. Messrs Clive Metcalfe, Frank Parker and Ron Stewart have been on holiday in Auckland. Mr and Mrs T. J. Coulter have returned frpm Gisborne, accompanied by Miss Mercia Coulter who is convalescing after a recent operation-
