Waipu’s FirstBorn Passes
WAIHI, This Day. The death has occurred of Mrs Annabell Nicholson, aged 84, a resident of Waihi for 41 years. Mrs Nicholson’s parents were among the Nova Scotians who came to New Zealand in 1853 and settled in Waipu. Mrs Nicholson was the first European born in Waipu. In her earlier years she was 'a noted horsewoman. She is survived by one son and four daughters.
