Fire At Vancouver Docks
(Received 2 p.m.) VANCOUVER, July 27. A fire in the Canadian Pacific docks caused 3,500,000 dollars worth of damage. Heroic crews ran tugs through the flames, pulling three coastal steamers from the blazing docks. Three tugs pulled the Empress of Russia, which was loading for the Orient, into the stream. Heavily-stocked freight ships under the docks were destroyed. Four firemen were hurled into the harbour by a gas explosion. They were rescued by fishermen.
