Waikato Dairymen Get £1,150,000 Deferred Payments

Within the next few days, over £1,150,000 will have been distributed to the of dairy companies operating in the Waikato, in the form of deferred payment for butterfat supplied during the 1937-38 season. The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., has announced that it will pay out £1,003,309, less £14,000 to be paid to milk powder suppliers later* on July 31. The Morrinsville Company distributed £45,000 as a deferred payment of 1.46 d per lb. butterfat yesterday, this sum being neai’ly equal to the total turnover of the company for the 1922-23 season, when it commenced operations. Suppliers of the Cambridge Company will receive £29,584, and a further deferred payment of £10,158 will be made in the near future. Suppliers to the Te Awamutu Company received a payment last week of £19,980. The Hinuera Company paid out £23,551 on Monday, while the Bruntwood Company distributed a supplementary of £5217 yesterday.
