Matches at Ahipara
The seven-a-side football and basketball competitions in the Kaitaia Group schools were concluded last week. Results of the matches which were played at the Ahipara School were: — Football. —Ahipara B 16, Kaitai’a A 0; Ahipara A 6, Kaitaia C 3; Pukepoto 6. Kaitaia B 0; Ahipara B 9, Kaitaia 0; Ahipara A 3, Kaitai’a D 0. Basketball.—Pukepoto 6, Ahipara B 6; Kaitaia Gold 9, Kaitaia Green 3; Ahipara A 13, Kaitaia Blue 0; Ahipara B 11, Kaitaia Red 1; Kaitaia Blue 11, Kai’taia Green 2; Pukepoto 13, Kaitaia Red 0; Ahipara A 17, Kaitaia Gold 0. As a result of this competition, Ahipara A, with 12 paints, has won the football, with Ahipara B second with 10 points. Ahipara A, with 11 points, has won the basketball, Pukepoto being second with 10 points.
