Full Whangarei Rugby Rep. Programme
The Whangarei Rugby Union has a full representative programme for this season, in fact so full is the programme that a number of outside fixtures have had to be turned down. The matches will be:— July 30, Senior B reps. v. Otamatea. at Maungaturoto; Senior B reserve reps. v. Kamo, at Kamo; third grade reps. v. Mangakahia and Kaikohe combined at Whangarei. August G: Maori v. Pakeha senior S. at Whangarei; Hikurangi seniors v. Ctahuhu seniors at Otahuhu land); Auckland Grammar Old Boys senior and third grade teams against Whangarei teams at Whangarei; Whangarci third grade reps. v. Bay of Islands at Whangarei for the Powell Shield. August 13: Whangarei senior reps, v. Harding Shield holders on holders’ ground: Whangarei thirds v. Otamatea at Whangarei (if Whangarei still holds Powell Shield).
August 20: College Rifles (Auck- i land) senior and junior teams against Whangarei teams at Whangarei. Whangarei junior reps. v. holders of Brake Shield on holders' ground. August 27: Marist (Auckland) fifths v. a Whangarei team at Whangarei. Senior B Teams, The following have been chosen by the selector, Mr H. Thomas, to represent Whangarei senior B in the match against the Otamatea senior representatives at Maungaturoto on Saturday: Full-back, Griffin (Fipiwai); threequarters, T. Davis (Pipiwai), R. The Whangarei third grade reps, to play a combined Mangakahia-Kaikohe third grade team at Whangarei on Saturday has been selected by Mr E.
