ARRIVE WHANGAREI— The next inward mail from Australia via Sydney, is due at the Whangarei Post Office on July 29. The next inward mail from England via Liverpool is due at Whangarei Post Office on August 6. EMPIRE AIR MAIL SERVICE (Steamer connection New ZealandAustralia meantime). NEW OVERSEAS LETTER-POSTAGE RATES From July 26, inclusive, the ordinary postages rates on letters to countries beyond New Zealand will be:— All British Countries and Egypt (except Australia), each half ounce. Australia (meantime), Id each oz. All Foreign Countries, 2£d first oz; l£d each succeeding one. For all articles except letters the existing rates are unchanged. Inland rates are unchanged.
