Increased Expenses And Revenue
Increases in both income and operating expenses were revealed by Mr S. W. Smith, chairman of directors of the Bay of Islands Co-operative DairyCompany Limited, when addressingshareholders at their annual general meeting yesterday. On each ton of butter made there had been an increased income of £6 11/7, while cream collection had cost 4/2 more, factory costs 18/2J more, marketing 32/6 more, and overhead charges 8/- more, leaving a balance of £4 8/8/ per ton more for suppliers. Advances had been made of £2 1/4.6 per ton more than previously, while the increased bonus was £2 7/3.9, these two increases making up the £4 8/8/ mentioned.
