Clippers For Air Service
[Special To '‘Northern Advocate”] AUCKLAND. This Day. According to a statement yesterday by Mr Harold Catty, special representative of Pan-American Airways in New Zealand and Australia, there is no authority for a suggestion that the new 6000-h.p. Boeing clippers, which arc being built for Pan-American Airways, will not come to New Zealand. Mr Catty's remarks were made following a suggestion by Mr Judge Wood, post office inspector at Honolulu. who arrived in Auckland yesterday, that two of the new clippers would replace those on the San Francisco-Honigkong route, and that the other four would be commissioned for the trans-Atlantic service.
