Henry Kingsley Archdall, formerly of Auckland, as principal of St. David’s College, Wales, has disappointed certain Welsh circles, says the correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” at Pwllheli, Carnavonshire. The president of the union, Alderman William George, brother of Mr Lloyd George, regrets that a principal, however brilliant, lacking a knowledge of Welsh cannot greatly help the church in the Welsh language and culture.
