Australian Tours On New Zealand
SYDNEY, July 25. At the annual meeting of the New South Wales Cricket Association last night, criticism was voiced on the attitude of the Board of Control in not fostering tours of New Zealand by Australian teams. The opinion was expressed that such tours would benefit cricket both in New Zealand and Australia, as well as afford the Australians experience of the type of wickets likely to be encountered in England. Mr R. Oxlade, a member of tho Board of Control, hinted that the board would probably revise its policy and encourage tours of Nt w Zealand. The opinion was also expressed that the tests in England should be played to a finish, and efforts will be made to bring this/ about.
