The late Dr. Dollfuss, who was murdered by Nazis in the earlier days of the movement to bring about the coup in Austria, recently consummated by Germany, is today exemplifying the words: “He being dead, yet speaketh.” He has been regarded as a martyr in the cause of right, and, as. a consequence, the anniversary of his murder has been made the subject of memorial masses. These have now been stopped, and his murderers, who were hanged, are being eulogised as Nazi martyrs.
