Week-end Rifle Club Shoot
A variable wind and changing light made accurate shooting rather difficult at the shoot of the Whangarei Defence Rifle Club on Sunday. In the fifth shoot of the Weston Bros.’ trophy series, W. Boreham increased his lead by three points from W. Norris, who is lying second in this competition. Scores were:—W. Boreham, 50 at 500 yards, 46 at 600, total 96; W. Norris, 48, 44—93; G. Neville. 47. 41—88; J. Norris, 45, 40 —85; J. Litchfield, 44. 40— 84; E. A. Foote, 42, 34, handicap 6—82. In a sweepstake at 600 yards, W. Norris led with 47. Other scores were: J. Norris, 46; W. Boreham, 46; G. Neville, 46; J. H. Ashton, 43; J. Litchfield 43; E. A. Foote 41.
