Wreck of the Yacht Vision

f Special to '‘Northern Advocate." J AUCKLAND. This Day. Nows of the wreck with loss of life of the well-known Auckland auxiliary yacht Vision was brought to Auckland by the Monterey today, by Mrs. 11. M. Montague, wife of Commander Montague. who is now in Hongkong. The yacht was last seen in Auckland when she sailed away four years ago. The Vision was chartered to a German couple, when Commander and Mrs. Montague reached Greece aboard her. The ship was wrecked in a gale about 10 months ago on the Italian coast, near Brindisi, and the German lost his life in an attempt to salvage his wife's jewellery. “After we left Auckland we went to Norfolk Island, and then fo Brisbane, travelling ifisido the Barrier Reef. Wo then went to the Dutch East Indies and Singapore." said Mrs. Montague, who will spend a few months with her people in New Zealand. After stopping some time in Singapore they went to Colombo, Aden. Alexandria and Cyprus. It was decided to cross Europe by rail, and so the Vision was chartered to a German and his wife, who were sailing the vessel home for them. They wore running from Brindisi to Malta when a gale wrecked the yacht. The German's wife had £9OO worth of jewels aboard. The Vision was a total wreck.
